The Bespoke Journey
Every commission begins with a conversation. Whether you are refining a piece from our collections or bringing an idea that does not yet exist, there are four ways to begin.
The Four Routes
Select your materials
Begin with a piece from our collections and choose the elements that make it yours.
- Best for
- You have found a design you love and would like it realised in your stone and metal.
- You choose
- Stone type and carat, metal, size or length.
- We handle
- The design remains as our atelier created it.
- Timeline
- 3–4 weeks
Adapt an Aurea design
Take an existing silhouette and adjust its proportions, setting, or detailing.
- Best for
- The design is nearly right, but you would change a detail.
- Includes
- One consultation and a revised rendering for your approval before work begins.
- Timeline
- 5–7 weeks
Create something entirely new
Bring an idea, a sketch, or a reference — we design it with you from the first line.
- Best for
- You have a vision that does not yet exist.
- Includes
- Consultation, sketches, a CAD rendering, and wax approval before casting.
- Timeline
- 10–14 weeks
Work with your own stones or metal
Reset an inherited stone, or have us craft with gold you already own.
- Best for
- A stone with history that deserves a new setting.
- Please note
- This route may be combined with any of the three above.
- Begins with
- An assessment of your materials before any design work.
- Timeline
- Determined after assessment
The Shared Journey

On working with your own materials
Every stone entrusted to us begins with an assessment. Older cuts, treated stones, and stones with existing inclusions can be fragile under setting, and we will tell you honestly what is possible before any work begins — including when we believe a stone should not be reset.
Pieces incorporating client-supplied materials carry our warranty on our craftsmanship, though we are unable to warrant stones we did not source.
Begin a conversation
Tell us what you have in mind — a stone, a sketch, or only a feeling. If you are unsure which route is yours, that is where we begin.
